First the Grizzley Man and now this! The shadowy world of daredevil animal protectionists took another hit today as Steve Irwin was killed in the line of duty. I was sleeping while news spread around the world, but bloggers were on the internets within minutes...The blog rubygreenblue.com has issued a kakhi shirt day while freshvideo posted a series of Irwin featured shorts, including his Sportscenter commercial.

Irwin, 44, was killed by a string ray off the Australian coast while filming a documentary.
