Here's an interesting article from the Wall Street Journal on how political science is becoming more, um, scientific. A movement is afoot to conduct more experiments, and incorporate theories from psychology to determine not just what effect politics has, but why. This article gives a general overview of the movement while highlighting provocative questions like do people get more conservative with age? Why are negative adds more effective?
